At 56, I know what works on me and what doesn't, and I've stopped wasting money on pieces that look nothing like the picture. This dress was a pleasant surprise, it draped beautifully and the color was rich and true, really complementing my deeper skin tone instead of washing me out.

I wore this dress to my grandson's baptism last month. Three people asked where I bought it before the service even started. Three.

I am picky about where I shop. I have been coming to Maddivale for nine years and they have never once made me feel like I was too old, too anything, or not the customer they were thinking about. That is rare and I am not letting it go just because they are moving online.

I almost passed on this one because the color seemed too bold for me. I am sixty-two years old and apparently I needed a bold color.

I have not worn anything sleeveless in twelve years. The three-quarter sleeves on this dress are exactly the right length. I no longer have to choose between comfortable and covered.

The fabric on this dress is something else. It feels like it should cost twice what I paid for it. I keep checking the tag to make sure I read the price right. I have washed it four times now and it still looks brand new.

I am usually a hard fit. This dress fit on the first try. Already ordered two more.
